[ dani shifts so that he can look him in the eyes, and rests his hand against the side of his jaw. ]

It's a blood power?

[ he thought lexi was just moving him with his mind. that's far more involved than he realised. ]

I was grabbing your blood. ( he tells him like it's the most normal thing. ) I can feel it. Even now. Not just in the way other vampires can. It's... in me somehow...

( he tilts his head, then lifts his hand. Dani's hand raises with it, and Lexi twists his fingers and Dani's fingers curl in on themselves. ) Feel it more closely. The pressure is coming from inside you. Not from an external force.

[ in his defence, the last time this power touched him, lexi had been attacking him. he'd panicked, he hadn't really been thinking about much.

but as he watches, the blood starts to raise off his skin. it pulls into the air and forms into a crystal hanging above his hand. ) I don't practice on others often. I have to kill anyone I practice on.

So, I'm more skilled at manipulating blood externally through practicing with my own blood.

dani puts his hand on lexi's chest. ]

Her voice reminds me of that first time.

( Lexi furrows his brow in confusion, but nods. ) I've seen it, yes. Through the videos and windows at the right angle.

[ dani nods. ]

It looked exactly the same in my dreams.

Exactly the same. And it felt the same. Like home.

[ he shakes his head. ]

How could I have known any of that without seeing it?

( Lexi's brow only furthers more at that. ) How did you dream it so realistically...?

I don't know, Lexi.

[ it's weird. how could he get it so right? ]

We don't have books in the fields, we don't have pictures or anything like that. I've never even seen an impression, so how?

There's something more to these dreams. I knew it the last time we talked about it, and I couldn't have told you why. I still can't. But they're more than dreams, I can feel it.
